Today Maria Vershinina, Director of Alpine Tax's UAE office, participated in a conference organized by Dubai Chambers: UAE Labor Law Workshop.
The program covered the following issues:
- UAE labor law overview;
- Visa requirements and basic labor and immigration issues when setting up a business;
- Procedures for employment and dismissal of employees;
- Issues related to the procedure of salary calculation and various types of bonuses;
- Categories of visas and work permits;
- Basic terms and conditions of employment: probationary period, performance management, grievance and termination procedures.
We are happy to share the information received and are planning a webinar on topical issues related to labor law in the UAE in the near future.
